Education
Education is a foundation stone of a nation. All those wishing to avail themselves of education from the ages of 3 years to PhD level will receive free education by the State. Education for those between the ages of 18 to PhD grade will be free. All those in further education will receive a grant from the Department of Education. There will be no tuition fees for such education. Those obtaining qualifications up to and including PhD will be required to work within the United Kingdom for a period of 10 years. Any student obtaining qualifications as a result of further education up to PhD level who decides to work or leave the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom within the 10 year period will be required to contribute towards the costs of their education at a level to be fixed.
Health
The health of a nation is measured by those available for work. All health care will be free of charge subject to certification by a physician. All up to the age of 21 and between the ages of 60 onwards will receive free medication as prescribed by a physician.
Law and order
The security of a nation is the passport which permits full integration within other nations and stimulates the economy. A Minister of Justice will be appointed to supersede the current role of the Home Secretary. The United Kingdoms rate of incarceration is higher than any other nation within the European Union. The Prison service is full to capacity. An amnesty will be declared releasing from prison all those serving sentences of 18months or less. The said sentences will be commuted as an act of grace. Sentence guidelines will be based upon Retribution, Rehabilitation, and Redemption. No person is beyond Redemption. Victims of crimes must also be fully recognised. There will be appointed a Minister for Victims of Crime. It is ironic that for many years there has been a Minister for Prisons and no Minister for the Victims of Crime.
Employment
The wealth of a nation is created by work. The right to work and the right to expect to work are fundamental. Job creation schemes within the community remunerated at no lower level than private employment will be funded by the State. The will to seek employment must be reignited. Employment for all those resident and domiciled legally within the United Kingdom is paramount and prioritive.
Immigration
Security of the National borders delineates the confines of a Nation. Forced entry into a residential or commercial property without the consent of the owner is a criminal offence. Forced entry within the confines of the United Kingdom will be treated as a criminal offence. Entry within the confines of the United Kingdom with false, forged travel documents will be a criminal offence.
Pensions
The history of a Nation is remembered by the aged. The dignity of the aged must remain sacrosanct. No person must be allowed to die without dignity. Those of pensionable age must never be allowed to be without home, nutrition, heating and ability to communicate. The State must never terminate any Gas, Electricity, and Water supply to a home inhabited by a person over pensionable age. The State will pay a pension commensurate to the dignity of a Nation. Those of pensionable age must never feel they are forgotten and must always retain the will to live. That is an obligation the young must carry to the old.
Defence
The Defence of the Realm requires the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom to respond appropriately to any threat of invasion. At all material times the Armed Forces must be appropriately funded and equipped to defend the United Kingdom.
Taxation
The inducement of a Nation to work is graphically related to the level of taxation imposed upon the workforce. Inheritance Tax will be abolished. Road Tax will be abolished. The maximum level of taxation upon an individual will be no higher than 20% (twenty percent) and upon a corporation 30% (thirty percent) subject to the individual and the corporation retaining income, savings within the United Kingdom. This will attract investment and capital within the United Kingdom.
International relations
The viability of a nation is evaluated by the International Community. The United Kingdom is a member of many international organisations yet exploits the advantages of few. Integration within the European Union must be adopted yet finely balanced with the interests of the nation. Monetary Union will be decided by the people in a referendum. Closer integration with the Commonwealth will be encouraged to ensure the United Kingdom maintains all trading options open whilst closing no doors.
